 otherkinhood/alterhumanity journey!
as a child i read a book about farm animals and when i got to the section on sheep it was like something clicked. i scrambled to learn as much about them as possible and absorb all the information that i could. the second time was when we visited the family farm barn local to us. it has suffolk sheep and i adored them and loved feeding them.
i also really wanted a farm, just to spend time with sheep. my favourite has always been the finnsheep, a sheep with remarkable fecundity. so it makes sense that i am indeed part finnsheep. :0)
i accepted it only half a week ago! i have always felt out of place in this human centric society but i assumed it was due to my autism and not anything else. but i have also always loved sheep and prefer their company to that of humans (when we visit farms and such). they have been my special interest since i was 10. whenever i played a game i would always want to interact with the sheep characters. stardew valley? primarily was a shepherd.
it took me until i stumbled upon the therian community two years ago that i realised i didn’t have to be human. while i have passively identified as nonhuman since then, recently i came across the word ‘therian’ and sheep inspired names and pronouns and it just clicked.
i am sheep. sheep is me :03
unfortunately not! i hope to meet at least one eventually but not at the moment :0(
yes i think i do!! i experience mental shifts, in that i act more like a sheep and can’t hide it. i baa and nudge people and generally try to snuggle closer to people so that i feel less vulnerable. i am also a lot more sociable and interact a lot more with people, albeit weirdly lol.
